Why I Shoot The Way I Shoot!

Hello there!

I am excited to share with you the reasons why I shoot wedding films the way I do, with mainly handheld camera work. As a wedding filmmaker, I understand the importance of capturing the emotions and details of the big day.

With that being said, let me delve into the details of why I choose to shoot the way I do and how it affects the final product.

First and foremost, I believe that an authentic and candid feel is paramount when it comes to capturing a couple's big day. As a result, I shoot mainly handheld to be able to move around freely and capture raw emotions and genuine moments without being restricted by a tripod or other equipment. Shooting handheld also allows me to get closer to the action and capture more intimate moments, which I know will be cherished by the couple for years to come.

Having minimal equipment is another reason why I shoot mainly handheld. By having minimal equipment, I can blend in with the crowd and not draw attention away from the couple. It also shows that I am a seasoned professional who knows what I am doing and can work with the equipment on hand. I can focus on capturing the moments that matter and not worry about managing my equipment. This is crucial as weddings can be fast-paced, and things can change quickly.

Additionally, being light-weight allows me to move around a lot quicker and easier. This is important as weddings are often unpredictable, and I need to be able to adapt to any changes that may occur throughout the day. This flexibility enables me to capture the day as it unfolds and ensures that I don't miss any important shots.

Lastly, I use Panasonic Lumix cameras, which are known for their excellent image quality and fantastic stabilization. This means that I don't need to use another stabilizer, which can slow me down and restrict my movements. Not to bore you with the details; but the Lumix cameras give me the freedom I need to move around and capture the day without sacrificing image quality or stability.

In conclusion, I believe that shooting wedding films mainly handheld is the best way to capture the emotions and details of the day. It allows me to bring an authentic and candid feel to my films, blend in with the crowd, move around quickly and easily, and take advantage of the fantastic image quality and stabilization of my Panasonic Lumix cameras. The result is a beautiful and natural wedding film that the couple can cherish for years to come.

Thank you for taking the time to read about why I shoot the way I do. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your wedding videography needs, feel free to contact me. I would be honored to be a part of your special day.
